Spread the word

 

Overview

Spread the word is an initiative of Arts OutWest which aims to promote healthy lifestyle and raise awareness of chronic disease to Indigenous communities in the New South Wales central west region.

The program utilises free art workshops as a means from which Aboriginal Health Workers are able to engage with members of the Indigenous population about chronic disease and healthy lifestyle options. The program will involve a variety of artforms to help educate people about chronic disease and encourage healthy lifestyles.

The program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, and delivered in partnership with the Aboriginal Health Unit and the Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Strategy.
