Young healers

 

Overview

The Young healers program, an initiative of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Foundation, aims to engage young Indigenous Australians in addressing intergenerational trauma and achieve healing within their communities.

This program acknowledges the continued impact of past events and government policy on the young Australian Indigenous population and encourages peer support among this population in dealing with issues that are affecting themselves, their families, and their friends.

The program objectives are to:

An initial stage of the program is to provide an online national survey to identify the best way to provide support to this population.
