Lyrebird exercise classes

Overview

Lyrebird exercise classes are run by the Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation and aim to address the lack of physical activity services available, and increase physical activity participation, for the Indigenous population of the Macarthur area, east of Sydney, New South Wales.

The exercise classes have been running once per week since 2010 in the communities of Airds, Macquarie Fields and Eagle Vale, and also offer childcare services and to-and-from transport facilities.

Participants are able to keep up-to-date with current information on the classes and other related activities through the Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation Facebook page.
