Move

Overview

Move is a physical activity health promotion project by the Brisbane Indigenous Media Association (BIMA). It seeks to raise awareness amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults in the greater Brisbane region of the benefits of physical activity.

The project also promotes healthy lifestyle choices and regular access to health care services and programs to prevent and/or manage chronic diseases, including high cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease and cancer.

Move is a series of audio segments that promote physical activity and associated health topics, and is simulcast on both the 98.9 fm radio station in Brisbane, and the National Indigenous Radio Service. The individual segments are also available to listen to on the BIMA website, which provides both current and archived podcasts.
