Winnunga Nimmityjah substance use service
Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Services offers clinical care and a needle syringe program to minimise harm from substance use. These include:
- a full-time specialist drug and alcohol nurse to provide individualised clinical care to clients dependant on opioids, amphetamines, and benzodiazepines.
- a needle syringe program which operates at Winnunga from Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm. Safe injecting equipment and disposal containers are provided free of charge
- an after hours vending machine provides access to clean injecting equipment for a small fee.
