Schools reconciliation challenge

Overview

The schools reconciliation challenge aims to raise awareness and educate young Australians in New South Wales (NSW) about reconciliation. The challenge sees youth enter an art competition with entries open during term one of each school year. The challenge is open to all young people aged ten to sixteen years, Indigenous and non-Indigenous and of all abilities.

The winning artworks are exhibited at the Australian Museum for three months, and the artists are flown in to Sydney to attend the exhibition launch. The challenge is coordinated by the NSW Reconciliation Council.
