It's your choice! Have a voice! rights, respect, responsibility 2013

Overview

It's your choice! Have a voice! rights, respect, responsibility 2013 is a sexual, reproductive health and alcohol and other drug campaign run by the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) for Aboriginal communities throughout New South Wales (NSW).

Hosted by the AH&MRC and Indigenous hip-hop projects, the campaign features a mix of hip-hop and salsa dance workshops, song writing and recording workshops, and community deadly styles dance performances - all aimed at helping to empower young Aboriginal people to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health, as well as related alcohol and other drug issues.

Funded by the NSW Ministry of Health, the It's your choice! Have a voice! roadshows will be rolled out to 12 NSW communities during 2013, with events hosted in partnership with local Aboriginal community controlled health services and local health districts, along with the cooperation of local Aboriginal sexual and reproductive health workers.

Information on the campaign locations and dates can be found live on the It's your choice! have a voice! rights, respect, responsibility facebook page and AH&MRC website.
