Trachoma health promotion - remote program

 

Overview

Trachoma health promotion - remote program aims to promote good health and hygiene practices to eliminate trachoma from remote communities in the Northern Territory (NT).

Trachoma health promotion officers, employed as a part of the program, work broadly across the community in partnership with other organisations and groups to address the F (facial cleanliness) and E (environmental improvement) components of the SAFE strategy for trachoma elimination. Specific strategies employed by the trachoma health promotion officers include:
