National Telemedicine Project

 

Overview

The National Telemedicine Project aimed to serve as a platform for eye health professionals to share information on effective strategies in tele-opthalmology.

The information obtained from the National Telemedicine Project was disseminated via committee members to their colleagues in their respective states. The committee acted as a platform for advocacy in tele-opthalmology at a government level into the future.

This project was supported by the Indigenous and Remote Eye Health Service, an initiative of the Australian Society of Ophthalmologists, and funded by the Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
