The Indigenous youth mobility program (IYMP) supports young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 to 24 years to move to a new location in order to gain the skills they need to get a job in their community or elsewhere.
The program provides accommodation, mentoring and other practical support to build literacy, numeracy, financial literacy and other life skills in order to facilitate the long term career aspirations of Indigenous youth from remote areas.
IYMP is funded by the Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DWEER).
