Overview

The managers of the Aputula community store have been promoting healthy lifestyles in their community with the introduction of this program. The initiative aimed to increase the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables by providing an AFL team card with every purchase of either fruit or vegetables. When seven cards were collected they would then enter the draw to win a big screen TV.

The program ran for 12 months and ended with a community fun day and healthy food fair. The result was a 155% increase of fresh fruit and vegetables purchased and consumed by the community.
