Numbulwar gardening

Overview

The hot climate and sandy soil of Numbulwar make it difficult to grow fruit and vegetables in the open. Numbulwar gardening is a collaborative project between the Homelands Resource Centre and the Numbulwar community to teach community members how to set up and maintain a tropical hydroponic garden.

A green house and hydroponic system have been set up to grow fruit and vegetable plants. The hydroponic garden will help the Numbulwar community grow their own fresh fruit and vegetables year-round.
