Indigenous garden box project

Overview

The Indigenous garden box project, which is being implemented by Kalwun Health Service in partnership with the Gold Coast Indigenous Health Service, aims to promote healthy eating and growing fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit at home. The project involves providing garden boxes with vegetables, herbs and traditional bush tucker plants to members of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, along with a variety of activities including monthly workshops on healthy cooking and gardening, and newsletters.
