Tennis Queensland Indigenous program

Overview

The Tennis Queensland Indigenous program aims to develop tennis programs that can be taken into Indigenous communities and schools.

The program adopts a holistic approach to sport development by assisting Indigenous Australians to participate in the game of tennis, and/or become coaches, administrators and officials.

Tennis Queensland aims to continue establishing a network of schools in all regions to participate in the program, and runs 'come and try day' events to encourage Indigenous participation in tennis.

The Indigenous program is run in conjunction with the Department of Sport and Recreation, Tennis Australia and the Australian Sports Commission.
