Wurli-Wurlinjang heart day program

Overview

This program has been running every Friday since August 2011 at the Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service. It was developed to improve the well being of clients with cardiovascular conditions like ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, rheumatic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, obesity and large waist circumference.

Clients also engage in self-assessment, healthy cooking, a ten week education program, medical care and social interactions through lunchtime.
