The Desert feet tour project was created in 2008 with the aim to provide educational music workshops and concerts throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. The project targets Aboriginal children and young people in rural and remote communities, using music to inspire them to stay in school and pursue their dreams. The tour delivers no-cost, alcohol free community concerts and educational music workshops. As part of the music workshops, the Desert feet crew assist local children to write, perform and record songs that relay healthy messages.
