Healthy and active in the West Kimberley (HAWK) now!

Overview

Healthy and active in the West Kimberley (HAWK) now! was a federally funded healthy lifestyle program delivered collaboratively by the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley until June 2013.

It offered nutrition information and low impact exercise options, as well as healthy lifestyle workshops to the community, specifically targeting adults with or at risk of developing chronic lifestyle illnesses. Activities included walking groups, aqua fitness, strength training and sports. The program also supported community groups and events such as a community Christmas, concerts and sporting associations with healthy foods and activities for the whole community to share and enjoy.
