Overview

The Tharawal community garden has been developed to teach residents of Tharawal how to grow and propogate their own food plants. The Community garden grew out of the success of the Community kitchen program and runs workshops that teach the community how to:

• compost
• grow vegetables in a styrofoam box
• propagate from cuttings
• experience the joy of gardening.

The vegetables and herbs grown in the garden are used in the Koori community kitchen. The participants can also take home fresh vegetables to share with their families.
