Overview

Regional community conferencing operates in regional and remote Aboriginal communities in Western Australia for first-time and non-serious offenders. This type of service trains approved Elders, wardens or significant community members to hold family group conferences in their community. This ensures the service can still be provided in remote locations to discourage young people from repeat offending.
