Real deadly fitness

Overview

The Real deadly fitness program was aimed at disengaged and at-risk youth of the Airds community in New South Wales. The program ran from 6am to 8am each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.

The fitness program included about an hour of boxing and cardio work before a warm down run around Airds Pond and a healthy breakfast. The program also had a mentoring component for Indigenous young people based on a Redfern program, Tribal warrior. This part of the program was run by volunteers and was attended by 20 to 25 youths each morning.
