Overview

The Jean Hailes medical centre offers specialist telehealth consultations for eligible parties under the Federal Government's telehealth initiative which was announced in July 2011.

Telehealth enables women in outer metropolitan, rural, remote and regional areas of Australia to access Jean Hailes specialists via video consultations. Benefits of this service are:

• improved access to specialist care

• reduced waiting time to see a specialist

• reduced travel time and costs

• reduced absence from work.
