The first Heart club program has been introduced to Wyndham by the Western Australian rheumatic heart disease control program. The aim of the program is to offer support to families who have been affected by acute rheumatic fever from other families and community members. The program hopes to open more Heart Clubs around Western Australia so communities in the future will be able to work together and sustain themselves without the assistance of the rheumatic heart disease control program.
