Overview

The Health and education needs analysis project (Gumala Aboriginal Corporation) was a research project which aimed to identify gaps and needs in health and education of Gumala Aboriginal Corporation (GAC) members and to provide practical solutions to reduce these gaps and needs.

The project involved participation by all interested GAC members, but special emphasis was placed on members in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The research has been completed and a 216-page report titled, A health and education needs analysis of Gumala Aboriginal Corporation members, was released by Murdoch University in July 2012. The report includes 13 pages of recommendations related to improving health and education outcomes in GAC members.
