Overview

Tiwi College is a remote Aboriginal secondary boarding school and day school for a small number of primary school children located at Pickertaramoor on Melville Island. The Red dust program at Tiwi College works in conjunction with the Hayden way Tiwi College project to provide the students with support and education in the areas of sport and health promotion activities. Some of the topics covered are:

• how a sustainable garden functions
  

• safety aspects and operation of farming machinery

• care of livestock

• sporting activities including touch football and basketball.
