Wesley LifeForce is a suicide prevention program that aims to educate, empower and resource Australian communities to be aware of the issue of suicide.
The program has four components:
In late 2011, Wesley Mission made a submission to the Select Committee on Youth Suicide in the Northern Territory (NT), recommending that the Government supports the establishment of further Wesley LifeForce Community Suicide Prevention Networks in high-risk communities in the NT.
The Wesley LifeForce program is an activity of Wesley Mission, and was established in 1995 in response to the growing number of suicides in Australia. The program receives financial assistance from the federal Department of Health and Ageing through the National suicide prevention strategy.
