Overview

The OneVision Indigenous eye health program aims to address the significant gap in Indigenous eye health by providing a long term eye health management program in specific Indigenous communities. It is being delivered and funded by OneSight, a non profit foundation of Luxottica Group.

OneSight eye care clinics visit Indigenous communities to provide education about the importance of eye health and optical examinations as well as free eye care and eyewear. Community consultation is conducted to determine how the optical clinics can be most effective at the local level.

The program is in reponse to the Roadmap to close the gap for vision by the Indigenous Health Unit, University of Melbourne.
