OneVision Indigenous Eye Health Program

Overview

The OneVision Indigenous Eye Health Program aims to address the significant gap in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander eye health by providing a long term eye health management program in specific Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It is being delivered and funded by OneSight, a non profit foundation of Luxottica Group.

OneSight eye care clinics visit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to provide education about the importance of eye health and optical examinations as well as free eye care and eyewear. Community consultation is conducted to determine how the optical clinics can be most effective at the local level.

The program is in response to the Roadmap to close the gap for vision by the Indigenous Health Unit, University of Melbourne.
