The Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara child nutrition and wellbeing program (Child nutrition and wellbeing program) runs in remote communities of the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia. The aims of the program are to share knowledge and skills with the people of the NPY lands to improve the health and wellbeing of their children. The Child nutrition and wellbeing program commenced in 1996 with a six-month grant from Commonwealth Health. The Nutrition project, as it was called, aimed to teach young mothers how to cook for their children.
