Aboriginal family support service (AFSS)

 

Overview

The Aboriginal family support service (AFSS), formerly known as the Aboriginal grandparents family support program, aims to support and strengthen Aboriginal grandparents and their families through the generations in Perth, Western Australia.

The program offers a range of assistance to Aboriginal grandparents and their families, including:

AFSS also offers counselling and support to Aboriginal women and their families with alcohol and other drug issues through counselling, family group sessions, outreach service and access to other in-house groups and workshops.

Self referrals are welcome, as are referrals from general practitioners, mental health clinics, psychiatrists and other health professionals.
