This project involved the development of a culturally appropriate Aboriginal suicide prevention training package. The aim of the training package was to support Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal workers to confidently recognize mental disorders and early signs of suicide risk. The training package was developed after extensive consultation with local Aboriginal communities, service providers and stakeholders, and was piloted in Tamworth, New South Wales (NSW).
