The Woorabinda road safety trial (central Queensland) was initiated to assist in the development of national road safety programs in rural and remote Indigenous communities. The trial included the employment of a local Indigenous project officer. The main priorities of the trial included:
Incorporating road safety messages into community life, resource sharing and increasing community capacity were some of the measures used to delivery the priorities identified for the trial.
