Yuendumu old peoples program
Overview
The Mampu Maninja-kurlangu Jarlu Patu-ku Aboriginal Corporation runs the Yuendumu old peoples program. This program commenced in 2000, and provides comprehensive community-based aged care services for elderly Warlpiri people living in Yuendumu, a remote community in the Northern Territory. These services are provided by younger community members, and include:
- meals on wheels
- personal care
- laundry assistance
- social support
- health support
- hort term residential respite care at Ngurra Mampu Maninja-kurlangu.
