Northern Territory 'Championship moves' and 'Grog running' awareness campaigns
Overview
The Enough is enough alcohol reforms, introduced in the Northern Territory as part of their Alcohol management plans, are also supported by community awareness campaigns. The campaigns will involve ongoing community education and awareness to promote safe and responsible drinking. Resources with Indigenous content are being produced as part of these campaigns. Campaigns include:
- Championship moves awareness campaign
- This campaign aims to tackle alcohol-related violence, encourage friends to look out for friends, and to make a smart move and step in to prevent a fight or incident before it escalates
- Grog running awareness campaign
- This campaign will be implemented to target illegal grog running in remote areas. The media campaign will target 31 remote communities, and will feature radio advertisements and talking posters in English and 10 Indigenous languages.
