Description

Caring for children: food, nutrition and fun activities: a practical guide to meeting the food and nutrition needs of children in care covers all key aspects of food and nutrition relevant to early childhood settings.

The guideline was produced to respond to the increasing number of children who are now being cared for outside the home, as provision of good nutrition is crucial in achieving high quality childcare.

The guideline includes sections on nutrition, food preparation (including menu planning, food safety) and food awareness activities. Included are a selection of full day menus and child-friendly recipes.

This resource is only available in hard copy. Please contact Gowrie NSW to organise copies of the guideline.
