Description

The Evidence based practice guidelines for the nutritional management of type 2 diabetes mellitus for adults aims to provide a framework for accredited practicing dietitians (ADP) in the dietetic assessment, intervention and evaluation of outcomes for medical nutrition therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

The clinical question that this guideline addresses is What is the process a dietitian should follow to achieve optimal nutritional management of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus?

The guideline is split into six sections:
