Description

This handbook provides everyday practical information for working in the field of alcohol and other drugs (AOD) with a focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. It is based on the clinical and cultural experiences of the authors who have worked in a range of settings from large urban environments through to small remote communities.

The handbook was written for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alcohol and other drug (AOD) workers, mental health workers, and other health professionals working in this field. The handbook can help workers respond to the range of alcohol and drug issues they face every day. It could also assist people working in the areas of policy advancement or who are advocating for change.
