Resource package
The Cancer Council of New South Wales has developed a resource to train Aboriginal health workers in the causes, treatment and support of Aboriginal people with cancer. Developed in consultation with Aboriginal Health Workers across New South Wales, the package is a comprehensive training resource for Aboriginal Health Workers to plan and facilitate workshops for their colleagues.

The Cancer awareness resource package has been developed primarily for Aboriginal Health Workers who work with Aboriginal people diagnosed with cancer. It will help them to plan and present workshops which focus on cancer education. It will give them an understanding of the impact of cancer in their communities, and help to reduce the burden of the disease.
