The Anwernekenhe National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander HIV/AIDS Alliance provides national leadership in the promotion of culturally appropriate services and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in HIV education, prevention, treatment, care and support.
The work of the Alliance is guided by its vision of stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS among Indigenous Australians. It seeks to provide a national voice to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, especially gay men and other men who have sex with men, sistergirls, transgender persons, women, youth, people who inject drugs, people in custodial settings, sex workers, and transient/mobile populations.
