Indigenous Policy and Dialogue Research Unit

Description

Officially launched on the 20th August 2009, the Indigenous Policy and Dialogue Research Unit (IPDRU) is headed by Patrick Dodson as Director and Professor of Indigenous Policy. The aim of IPDRU is to develop a new philosophical underpinning to guide the development of a new relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. This dialogue process is believed to encourage Australian peoples to move beyond hierarchical, technical solutions to generate real change through genuine compassion and communal intelligence.
