Australasian Therapeutic Communities Association (ATCA)

Description

The Australasian Therapeutic Communities Association (ATCA) is a non-government organisation which aims to advance the therapeutic community model in Australasia through advocacy, research, capacity building, and networking.

A therapeutic community is a treatment facility in which the community itself, through self-help and mutual support, is the principal means for promoting personal change.

Funding for ATCA is principally provided by the Australian Government Department of Health.
