HIV, Hepatitis and STI Education and Resource Centre



The HIV, Hepatitis and STI Education and Resource Centre is a free community service that provides information on HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and sexually transmissible infections (STIs) to the Victorian community. The Centre is managed by The Alfred in Victoria and is staffed by a librarian, coordinator, and an infectious diseases health educator to assist individuals with their informational needs.

Information can sourced via the Centre's website or at the Centre itself which is located in Fairfield House, Moubray Street, Prahran. The information available on HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and STIs covers the following topics: living well; treatment and care; services; current research; prevention of infection; and education.

The variety of resources available include: internet access; brochures; books; journals; newsletter; videos; posters; teaching kit; databases (for example Medline and AIDSLINE). The Centre also holds plain language resources and technical resources, catering for a range of abilities.
