Description

HepatitisWA was convened in 1992 by people living with hepatitis C. The aim of HepatitisWA is to reduce the stigma and discrimination that surrounds viral hepatitis and assist in providing people affected by hepatitis with optimal care and support.

The services offered by HepatitisWA are primarily focused on hepatitis C but the work of HepatitisWA embraces all viral hepatides. An example of some of the services provided by HepatitisWA includes: information and support services (such as telephone service, one-on-one advice, and support group meetings); community education; and projects such as Prison Blood Borne Virus Education.
