The AIDS Action Council of the ACT was established in March 1985 and seeks to eliminate the transmission of HIV and minimise the personal and social impact of HIV/AIDS. As a community based organisation, the Council is involved in a range of services including: campaigns; information dissemination; community development; prevention; and community education. The Council also offers library services, health maintenance servcies, and support services, while also undertaking several projects and research activities.
