Cluster for Physical Activity and Health

 

Description

The Cluster for Physical Activity and Health is an organisation comprised of a team of experts in the field of physical activity and public health. It is staffed by public health researchers and epidemiologists with a special interest in physical activity and in health promotion. The Cluster focuses on

The Cluster is located within the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney and conducts a number of international projects in the Asia pacific region and elsewhere around physical activity in the context of non-communicable disease prevention.

Most of the Cluster's functions are supported by research grants, including the NHMRC. Part of the Cluster was funded by NSW Health for the period 2002-2005; this was to service NSW professionals and the NSW Health Department in the area of physical activity information, policy and practice.
