Description

The National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC) is an Australian Government initiative that brings together expert individuals and organisations to focus on the effort to prevent the uptake of cannabis use and reduce the harms of cannabis use. Engagement with jurisdictional and national senior decision-makers in health, education, and criminal justice will ensure maximum relevance and reach of the centre, while the use of an interactive website and social marketing strategies will ensure maximum dissemination of key messages and interventions. Key goals include of NCPIC include:

• community access to evidence-based information on cannabis and related harms
• community access to evidence-based information to prevent uptake and promote reduction in cannabis use
• service provider access to evidence-based interventions for people experiencing cannabis-related problems.
