The Ministerial Council on Drug Strategy (MCDS) brings together Commonwealth, State and Territory Ministers responsible for health and law enforcement to collectively determine national policies and programs to reduce the harm caused by drugs. The MCDS is the peak policy and decision-making body in relation to licit and illicit drugs in Australia and is one of the key elements of Australia's National Drug Strategy.
