Australian National Council on Drugs (ANCD)

Description

The Australian National Council on Drugs (ANCD) was established as part of the Federal Government's response to reduce the harm caused by drugs in the community. It plays a critical role in ensuring the views of the many sectors involved in addressing drug and alcohol problems, as well as the community, are heard.

An important component of the ANCD's work is to ensure that policies, strategies and directions in the drug and alcohol field are consistent with the National drug strategic framework. The ANCD website also provides information on drug use in Australia, news and events, and reports and publications.
