Reconciliation Australia

Description

Reconciliation Australia is the non-government, not-for-profit foundation established in January 2001 to provide a continuing national focus for reconciliation. Reconciliation Australia works with business, government and individual Australians to bring about change. The organisation identifies and promotes examples of reconciliation in action so that others can share the good ideas and add their support. Reconciliation Australia also independently monitors Australia's progress towards reconciliation so that government, business and the community can take responsibility to back up words with real commitment. Reconciliation Australia and its partners recognise that the task of defining and delivering reconciliation requires leadership from government and commitment within our workplaces and our communities. The Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation website contains all the documents and history of the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation for the ten-year period of their existence to December 2000.
