Mental Health Standing Committee

Description

The Mental Health Standing Committee (MHSC) is a subcommittee of the Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council (AHMAC) and was initially established to oversee the implementation of the National Mental Health Strategy, and advise on the expenditure of mental health national project funding. Known as the National Mental Health Working Group until 2006, the MHSC now has broader responsibilities, overseeing the work of various subcommittess, such as the Mental Health Information Strategies Subcomittee and the National Suicide Prevention Working Group.
