The Obesity Society

 

Description

The Obesity Society is a leading scientific society dedicated to the study of obesity, formed in 1982 and committed to encouraging research on the causes and treatment of obesity, and to keeping the medical community and public informed of new advances.

The organisation's vision is to advance the science-based understanding of the causes, consequences, prevention and treatment of obesity in order to improve the lives of those affected, through research, education and advocacy.

The Obesity Society as three main objectives:

The Obesity Society's membership reaches more than 2,000 basic and clinical researchers, and care providers in obesity treatment and prevention.
