Orthoptics is the allied health profession specialising in the diagnosis and management of disorders of eye movements and associated vision problems.

Orthoptics Australia is the national peak body representing orthoptists across Australia. Orthoptics Australia strives to:

• promote and advance the discipline of orthoptics
• support its members, ensuring they receive quality service to further their work and career opportunities
• develop and enhance the profession of orthoptics so as to contribute to the excellence in eye health care for patients in public hospitals and ophthalmology practices, and throughout the community.
